61 E "Skorpion"īeing a portable game, Peace Walker is built around a series of short missions rather than a single long campaign these are designed for single or cooperative play, with many RPG-like elements added which were unique to this game prior to the release of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. The following weapons are used in the game Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker: The Japanese version also features licensed products such as Doritos, Axe Body Spray and Mountain Dew among the items MSF can develop presumably due to licensing issues, these are replaced with generic versions in Western releases. The game features a couple of rather obtuse unlockables which reference other licensed properties specifically Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed and Capcom's Monster Hunter series. When Big Boss receives a mysterious recording implying that his mentor The Boss is somehow still alive, he agrees to assist the Sandinista forces in Costa Rica, hoping to discover more about her fate.
Disillusioned with the US, the legendary soldier Big Boss has abandoned his former country and taken a group of loyal troops to form a mercenary group called MSF ( Militaires Sans Frontières, Soldiers Without Borders).
The story takes place in 1974, four years after the events of Portable Ops, but does not really follow up on that game's story threads (it is only mentioned once in passing as "all that crap in San Hieronymo"), instead being primarily a direct sequel to Metal Gear Solid 3.

Combined with the Infinity Bandana it will keep shooting forever.Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker is a side-story in the main Metal Gear series released in 2010 for the PSP and re-released in 2011 as part of the Metal Gear HD Collection for the PS3 and Xbox 360, with enhanced graphics and a control scheme optimised for twin-joystick controllers. This is particularly useful against Chrysalis, or Peace Walker when it's using EM Pulse. In case missiles aren't an option, use the Gatling Gun. It deals the most damage out of any rocket launcher, and has a slight homing ability (although you usually do not want to wait for the lock-on). To quickly deal a lot of damage, use the M47 rocket launcher. Do keep in mind though that the launcher makes a lot of noise when shooting it. You'll also want this for S-Ranking vehicle battles, as it allows you to take out a group of backup soldiers in one shot. In rescue missions, you can save a lot of time by using the Fulton Launcher, so you can rescue your target from far away and focus on making your way to the exit point. These are useful for getting past groups of enemies. Smoke grenades usually suffice, but enemies can be alerted when the smoke dissipates. In some missions it is also useful to have Smoke Grenades or Sleep Grenades (Stun Grenades are too loud). When maxed out it can knock out an unarmoured soldier with a shot anywhere on the body. For S-Ranking and easy quiet takedowns, the Mk.22 Pistol is your best friend.
